I was a pupa

I was a pupa
Inside a cocoon
A fluffy, light ,all encompassing nest
Woven together with friends and loved ones and music and art and hope and wonder

I was a hatchling in fumble flight
Slinging friends and loved ones and hope and wonder across the sky

I was a butterfly pinned to cardboard
Only I knew I was alive
When I beat my wings slowly against the darkness

  1. So that’s what happens when you sling hope and loved ones away – great poem dude! Especially love that half dead butterfly – wings beating so slowly that only the butterfly knows it is alive.
